Full Moon (Tag Anyone!)

Miranda froze as a horrible screams ripped through the night air. She had been in the forest tending to a rare breed of nocturnal fae, beautiful creatures but incredibly shy. Another scream echoed around her. She strained her ears, trying to identify the creature. She knew all of the creatures who lived in and around the campus, but this. This was a sound she hadn't heard in a long time. It was the sound of a creature enduring a painful transformation. And it was coming from the direction of Hogsmeade and the Shrieking Shack. She tore off in that direction, planning to either calm or contain the creature.
She slipped inside the dilapidated house quietly and immediately sensed the presence of a very large creature. Her eyes quickly scanned the room and landed on a group of humans. Her eyes widened. Four students stood fearfully by Professor Rivera. And in front of them all loomed a giant wolf, teeth gleaming in the moonlight streaming through the shutters.
Miranda stood stock still, not wanting to draw the creature's attention.
"Aliss," she hissed, letting her colleague know she was there as she silently drew her wand.

Jim saw the professors drawing out their wands, and he growled louder. He couldn't process what the little sticks of wood did, but he knew that they were weapons, and that was all he needed to know. They stood in front of the students, the weaker ones, protecting them. Jim's claws scratched at the dirt, hunger making his blood boil. He wanted to sink his teeth into something, attack with his claws, anything! He started barking, tail twitching as his eyes glared at the humans in front of him. Then, he spotted Emily, so much younger and smaller than the others. It was always the smaller ones that were easier to attack. His brain couldn't tell whether he recognized her or not. All he could see was her terrified face. Barking again, his muscles coiled as he prepared to pounce on the first-year student.

Miranda tensed as she saw the wolf's legs bend slightly, preparing to lunge toward the terrified students.
"Aliss!" she shouted, eyes flicking to the Defense against the dark arts professor. She took a step closer to the students, placing her own body between the maddened werewolf. She didn't want to hurt it, he, or she, was after all a student. They just needed to get the other students out and keep the werewolf in until morning. The shrieking shack could withstand a single wolf.....right?
"Emily..." she said softly, noticing the wolf's gaze fix on the first-year. "I want you to move very slowly right behind me and Professor Rivera, ok?"

Slowly evaine picked up emilys want not taking her eyes off the wolf "em do what the teacher says and maggie be safe and out" she spoke pushing them behind her "you too hiccup go now." Eva waant going to leave the teachers alone

Emily wanted to say something, to do something, but the wolf caught her with his eyes, and she was froze on her feet. She just opened her mouth, not even a scream left from it, and she kept facing the wolf.

"no," Miranda snapped, more harshly than intended. "No one move, except really slowly." Evaine had a point, the had to start getting the students out, out to safety. But to do that, they'd have to distract the wolf somehow. She could transfigure a piece of furniture and send it running in the opposite direction, it might distract the werewolf long enough for at least a couple of the students to get out. But she was absolute rubbish at transfiguration!! She tried not to let her frustration show on her face.
She glanced at Emily, who still hadn't moved. The poor girl was frozen in place with fear.
"Emily," miranda said softly. "Emily listen to me. You are going to be fine. do you hear me? He's not going to hurt you. Just take a step towards me. one step. You can do it honey."

Emily could hear Prof Melgrove talking to her, and she was right, she really needed to do something, she really needed to go next to the teacher. She shut her eyes, and bent slowly to catch her wand from the ground. She was breathing fast and she finally got it. Her eyes were still closed when she stood up, slowly than when she bent. She made the mistake to opened them, and all she saw all the wolf, still growling at her... She had an impasse, running directly to the teacher, or moving cautiously. She decided to move her leg slowly, her eyes still on the wolf, and with a big effort she was able to take a step next to the teacher, but she still looked so far, and she was so terrified she froze again.

"That's right, Emily" Miranda coaxed. "You're all right. Feel that wand in your hand? Grip it tight. You've got it. We're not going to let anything happen to you. One more step."
Her eyes flickered restlessly from the girl to the wolf, who loosed a low snarl.

Emily took a deep breah, and tightened the wand on her hand. She gazed briefly to the teacher, and prepared to take another step when she hear the wolf snarling at her. She paralyzed, now she saw she was his prey. Emily got helpless, she knew her curiosity will ended her someday, and seemed tonight was the day... ''I can't!'' She said quietly to the teacher, a tear ran from her cheek, she had never felt so terrified in her short life.

Waiting, waiting, waiting for the right moment to strike. It was a part of any predator's nature, and Jim was no exception. He still had his eyes fixed on Emily, who looked ready to pass out from fright. Their voices were quiet, but there was still a level of urgency about them. It seemed like they knew who Jim was targeting. But he still had surprise on his side. In a split moment, he went from staring down Emily to springing up into the air and leaping towards her.

Emily's eye widened when the wolf started running towards her. She hopeless said Stupefy!, and as the spell let out the wand, she ran to the Prof, holping it wasn't too late to her.

Miranda's mind raced. Emily was far too frightened to even move.
"It's all right, Emily. We're going to get through this. We-" her eyes shot up to the wolf as it suddenly leapt into the air, straight towards the first-year.
Without thinking, Miranda lunged forward, wand outstretched.
"Protego!" she shouted.
She wrapped her free arm around Emily, pulling her backwards, as the wolf rebounded against the fragile shield charm.
"Run!" she shouted at the others. "Out! now!"

Hiccup got on Toothless and said seriously as Toothless growled at the werewolf and blocking the werewolf from the women, "Hey, I won't let you hurt my friends." Toothless roared and tackled the werewolf and Hiccup said with concern as Toothless pinned the werewolf down, "Listen to me. You don't have to do this, you don't have to give in. Please don't do this."

Quickly picking up emily and grabbing maggies hand she ran to get them out of there, turning her head she saw what hiccup was doing "damn it! What are you doing!" She yelled. Trying to calm emily down from crying her main thing was to get emily out

Emily wrapped her arms around Eva's neck, and her legs on her waist... She hide her head on the long black hair of the older girl, and she sobbed on her shoulder. He looked up, to see if the big bad wolf was far. Her gaze was blurred because of the tears, but she still could see what Hiccup and Toothless were doing... ''Stop it!! Don't hurt him!! Just fly!!!'' She shout to the boy.

A jet of red light burst from Emily's wand and it seemed like it would hit Jim square-on. But it was just a fraction of an inch too far to the left and it whizzed past him. Miranda's spell, however, was more effective. It came to protect Emily just in time and Jim bounced helplessly off of the shield. Before he could get back on his feet, Toothless pinned him down. But the dragon was smaller than the others, even though it was still pretty strong. Jim snarled as his jaws snapped and his claws lashed out, managing to rake three parallel lines down its face. Hiccup's voice was nothing more than an annoying mosquito in his ear, but Jim was starting to get mad. It felt like he was literally seeing red as thrashed and fought with the dragon, attacking him any chance he got.

Miranda glanced back to see at least a couple of the girls making they're way towards the exit. But as she turned back to the wolf, she could have screamed in frustration. The sound of Hiccup's pain raked through her, but she had no time to heal the creature.
"Hiccup!" she yelled. "Get yourself and Toothless out of here before anyone else gets hurt!"
She could see the wolf's eyes grow even madder. Antagonizing it was definitely NOT what she had had in mind. Her eyes scanned the room, searching for something to use to distract the wolf. If only she could do a decent transfiguration.
"Locomotor chair!"
a large plush arm chair rocketed across the room, slamming into the werewolf. She flinched. It was a student after all, but it simply couldn't be helped at this point.

Biting her lip she yelled "fly hiccup you only hurting toothless" between the dragon and the wolf fighting, stuff was flying threw the air. "i got to get you out." Eva ran again with maggie behind her. Making it outside evine hugged emily tightly, scared that emily could have goten hurt badly "im going back in hiccup needs to get out." She said whipping emilys tears away

Emily nodded and saw Eva going back. She held herself into Maggie's arms, and they both hide behind a tall bush. She felt her nerves failing, and can't taking anymore, she fainted on her arms.

Evaine was back inside unknown to her if hiccup took off or if he was still trying to reason with the wolf 'damn kids going to get himself killed.' she thought, sighing Eva was glad that she was able to get Emily out of there along with Maggie. Eva wondered around the.building looking for the wolf she wanted come clue to whom the student was that became this blood lust monster. Walking into the room she saw ripped up sheets, claw marks on the walls and floors, gasping she covered her mouth whom ever this student was just have been threw a lot of pain 'maybe he can't help it that he attacks people.' she thought. Placing her hand over the claw marks she heard a much of noise coming from upstairs

Maggie felt relieved to be out of the shack. They had hidden behind a bush with Emily. It didn't feel like a good idea. When the teachers got out they wouldn't be able to spot them so easily. She kept her eyes on the entrance to the shack. She had wanted to stop Evaine from going back in. She knew Evaine wanted Hiccup out too. She really wanted to slap the boy for being stupid. She then felt Emily go limp on her arms. She quickly looked down. 'Not good.' She adjusted Emily so her upper body was on her shoulder. This way if she needed to move she would be able to get up quickly and be able to use her wand. She made a mental note to keep following the lunar calendar next time she felt like going out during the night. She tried to shake Emily awake. "Emily wake up, this is not the best place for your nap right now."

[Okay, Hiccup I seriously need you to edit some of your posts. You are making him too familiar with magical creatures for such a young child and Toothless is a dragon, they will not be so loyal and you are making him behave unnaturally to his species. I am considering banning Toothless from the game so count this as your warning. Delete the syringe post aswell. I have plotted with Jim already about the treatment of wolfsbane. Thank you.]


Alliss was already in defensive mode, she had a strange desire to protect the werewolf more than the humans and fliched as spells were fired and Hiccups' liability of a dragon became unintentionally entangled in the cross-fire.

"That is it! Hiccup control your dragon before I harm him, and Miranda please escort the students out safely, I will deal with him," Alliss frowned and was glad most of the students seemed to have made it outside. She waited until Miranda and all the children were out of the shrieking shack before sprinting after them, down the stairs and out onto the lawn. She stood directly opposite the Whomping Willow entrance, awaiting the werewolf who would most certainly follow her out. Taking a defensive position in front of the others, she waited.

((I'm just gonna post while I'm on and ignore the syringe thing since it's gonna be edited anyway, if that's alright? If not, I'll edit this post when I get back on.))

Jim was finally gaining edge against the dragon, although it wasn't much. The beast was stronger than him. But suddenly, it cocked its head and got off of him. Maybe Hiccup had called for him? Regardless, Jim was back on his feet in an instant, growling again. He was bleeding in some places from where Hiccup had scratched him, but it was nothing too serious. He still wanted to fight, still wanted to rip something to pieces. When he looked around though, he saw that mostly everyone else had gone. Only Alliss remained. The hair on Jim's back prickled as he snarled at her, claws digging into the floor boards. If he couldn't get Emily, then this human in front of him would have to do. That was how his mind process worked. He slowly moved towards the right, snarling all the while, trying to find an opportunity for him to strike.

Emily opened her eyes a little, seeing through her eyelashes... She was feeling dizzy, and the shaken was getting it worse. ''Stop! I feel dizzy...'' She said weakly, and wrapped her little arms around the other girl's shoulders, it took a little till she recognize the girl as Maggie, and suddendly Emily felt safer with her.
