Bathe in Blood {Tag: Maggie & Jessica}

Dean strode easily towards his classroom, his wand balanced comfortably in his hand. 

It felt like being in a cage, or riding in the passenger seat of a car, he had a perfect view of everything but no control. 

He wasn't looking for anything in particular, just a way to get the message across. That Lord Voldemort was not to be trifled with, that Dumbledore should be wary. 

Now he just needed to find the perfect victims.

((I would have posted earlier, but we had a crisis at work...we thought the store was on fire, turns out the oven was broken))

After the snake attack, someone had taken her to the medical wing to get treated. She was glad she didn't die. She was walking towards her commonroom. She was still nervous, and keeping her wand at the ready. She saw professor McCoppin, giving him a nervous smile and a nod to say hello. The only thing she was nervous about right now was Sinbads sister Rose. She didn't know any better.

Jessica saw Maggie in the distance, the Hufflepuff girl. She'd been intending to talk to her for some time and considering she had very little to do that day, it seemed the perfect time to do so. There had been some rumour about Maggie being injured, and if nothing else it might be a good time to at the very least see how she was.

"Hey, Maggie!" she called out, running to catch up. However, she stopped short when she got to Maggie and saw Professor McCoppin. "Oh, I'm sorry, sir, I didn't mean to run"

She turned around to face Jessica, smiling to her slightly. "Hello."

Suddenly she and Jessica were frozen in place. It made Maggie panic. This was certainly not her day. Her heart was racing as the professor moved them to the classroom and tied them down. She followed from the corner of her eye what hte profesor was doing. Her eyes widened when she saw the blade. She quickly shut her eyes. This can't be happening?!

Jessica could feel her breathing coming out faster through her nose as she was overcome by the helplessness of being frozen like this. No. No, this doesn't make sense. He's a teacher. Not even a Slytherin. He's a teacher. This is a joke. It didn't seem to be a joke. After they had been tied down, she saw that Professor McCoppin was turning towards them with a Muggle weapon in his hand. Her first instinct was to try and fight, to do something, but the spell stopped her from even flinching

Jessica felt her body slump forward slightly when the immobilizing spell was lifted, and could feel her breath openly coming out harsher. She watched in horror as McCoppin shoved the bayonet through Maggie's thigh. A choked gasp of anger and disbelief left her throat before she could stop herself.

"Don't!" she yelped before he returned from a second trip to the case, and she saw that he held another Muggle weapon. Muggles Studies was never her strong subject, and Jessica could safely say she had no idea what it did... until a bang went off and a shooting, stabbing pain ebbed from her shoulder. She screamed openly then, tears prickling in her eyes.

Stop screaming. Don't give him the satisfaction. But she couldn't stop, it hurt far too badly

Maggie screamed when the blade stuck into her thigh. She didn't dare to open her eyes again, but finally peeked through her eyelids. Her view fell straight on her lap seeing the blade stuck there made her nauseous. Tears started to fall on her cheeks because of the pain.

Suddenly she heard a loud bang as the teacher shot Jessica, she whimpered slightly when the sound pierced the air. She couldn't turn her head to see if the girl was still alive or not. She heard Jessica scream, that was sort of good. In a way...

The pain of her shoulder all of a sudden didn't matter any more. Not compared to the awful pain seizing her body. Jessica's previous screams had only just ebbed away to heavy panting but now she could feel her throat going raw with the fresh pain that forced her to scream beyond the limits she felt she could have reached.

"Why?" she managed to say, her finger nails scratching at her palms in an attempt to find release. "S-stop!"

Her eyes were closed tightly, the room spinning. If this lasted much longer, she swore she would end up either vomiting or fainting

She closed her eyes shu, hearing Jessicas screams. Her tears flowing even more. Once she heard Jessicaplead for him to stop she opened her eyes, looking straight to the teacher. "STOP!!! PLEASE JUST STOP ALREADY!!" She didn't know what would happen, but she didn't want this anymore. Being helpless and weak.

Jessica tried to catch her breath back and heard Maggie's reaction as the curse was placed on her instead.

"No-" she gasped, trying to lean forward pitifully. "N-no, leave her alone, p-please..." She trailed off, knowing that her efforts were pitiful. Jessica tried to struggle against her binds but hissed as the pain in her shoulder returned. It was not as bad as before, now that she had a comparison, but it was enough to make her sit still again, just muttering small pleads over and over again

Maggies eyes widened. She let out a piercing scream. She had never felt this kind of pain. It felt thousand times more painful than the stab wound on her thigh. It felt like she was made of glass fibere or something like that, forced to bend and bow until she would break. Her screams started to fade, as she felt like she was about to lose her conciousness.

Maggie screamed at first, her voice was hoarce from the screaming. The cuts started to feel less and less painful. She just kept crying, hoping he would stop soon.

Jessica hissed loudly with each flick of the knife, her fists tightening a little each time. Tears sprung to her eyes but she clenched her jaw tightly to avoid screaming out.

"Why're you doing this?" she groaned between gritted teeth, her eyes still shut. She winced a little when she heard Maggie crying and her eyes opened slowly, her breath shuddering as she tried to steady herself. "Just let her go, what'd she do to you?"

Maggie hung her head after the teacher left. She had seen this trick so many times in movies and tv. She sniffed. "We are going to die..." It didn't take long before the carbon monxide started to make her head hurt.

"Like hell we are," Jessica muttered through gritted teeth. She flexed her fingers a little, stretching them out. The air was starting to get to her now, but she pushed past it. It was nothing she couldn't handle, though looking to her side she could see that it was already getting to Maggie.

"Maggie, stay with me, okay? Can you move your chair at all?" As if to demonstrate, Jessica took a deep breath and began shuffle a little. Her feet were secure against the chair, but with a little bit of manoeuvring she managed to scrape her chair bit by bit across the floor. It killed her shoulder and her legs felt ready to set alight, but it didn't matter. The knife on the desk was only a few metres away

Maggie looked at what Jessica was doing. She bit her lip and tried to do the same. Her leg hurt everytime she did move. She gritted her theeth, not going to give into the pain.

Jessica urged herself forward, blocking out the shooting pains. Eventually, her knee hit the desk, causing her to yelp loudly in pain. But it didn't matter. She was there. For a moment she paused, trying to think of a way to get hold of the knife, considering her hands were bound quite tightly.

"Come over here," she said finally after thinking of a plan. Jessica started shuffling around slightly, turning so her back faced the desk. "Can you sort of just lean forward and nudge it off the desk? Just push the handle with your nose or something. I'll try and catch it and undo the rope"

Maggie musceled the rest of the way to the desk. She listened to Jessicas explanation, then looked at the knife. She nodded determined. She started to shift her waeight on her chair, to make her chair lean towards the desk. It didn't take her long before she managed to push the knife closer to the edge of the table. "You ready to catch it?" She asked, counting to three before she actually pushed the knife off the table.

"I'm ready," she said, waiting for the knife. She held her breath as she heard it fall off the desk, and smiled a little when it fell directly into her hand. "Thanks," Jessica said, a small sob in her voice. It was a lot to take in- she could still barely believe they were in this situation. "Right, just wait there a second and I'll get us free in no time." Coughing a little, Jessica turned the knife in her hand and began sawing through the rope. As she did so, she looked up a little and saw Maggie still overcome by the fumes. "You're still awake, right? Whatever you do, don't fall asleep"
