Speciality:
Her main interests lie in Defence Against the Dark Arts, though she is talented at a variation of subjects. Her second favourite lesson is Potions as she knows that it is underestimated in its usefulness. The two subjects in her mind are worth the most of her attention due to their importance in future battles with Dark Wizards. After her incident, Jessica made sure that she would not take Transfiguration again during her NEWTS.

Limitations:
Jessica is an extremely proud person who will not take any qualms with telling everyone of her achievements and abilities. Despite her pride, she is also a very insecure person when it comes to her looks, considering herself set apart from the rest of the school due to this. It is for this reason that she overcompensates in her lessons to show her worth despite her looks. Jessica has a very short temper with certain people and will often speak her mind, more often than not in the rudest way she can conceive if only to put the message across.

Wand / Magical Items:
Her wand is 12 inches and made of Cypress Wood with a Doxy Wing core. She also possesses a two way mirror that she keeps under her bed, never having trusted anyone enough to give one of the mirrors to.

Personality:
Though distant from others, Jessica is very loyal to any friends she does make despite these being far and few between. She is comfortable, though, with the friends that she does have and very rarely thinks on romantic relationships, perhaps only pondering on them once or twice when she sees a couple in the common room. Her rough nature and sarcastic manner towards relationships often make others wonder if she is hiding a secret about her sexuality, though even she is unsure on this. Most of her time, though, is spent practising spells and enjoying the scenery of Hogwarts.

Appearance:
Pre-Transfiguration incident, Jessica had a very unique grace about her, with pale skin and small, pouting red lips, with very lithe curves that she was extremely proud of. After the incident, though, her nose shortened into something of a rodent’s snout and her eyes became larger. Her skin became covered in a very short layer of fur that does not make her look hideous, but she is still not used to. She has padded out to more voluptuous curves and now keeps herself covered in more rebellious clothing in response to her accident.

History:
When she was a baby, Jessica’s parents died while away together on some sort of meeting or mission and she was brought to Madame Ginnithrift’s orphanage. She has lived here amongst other magical orphans and so she knew even from a young age that she was destined to be a witch. Jessica has gotten by quite well without parents, displaying a maternal instinct towards others in her situation in the orphanage. Life at the orphanage was quite dull in most respects and life only really began for Jessica when she began at Hogwarts, and she refused to look back and wonder what life would have been like with parents, instead focusing on a future.

Pippa would love to be her friend XD since she's the daughter of a Squib, and Filch to top it off, she's pretty insecure as well, but she hides it. maybe her and Jessica could bond since they're both sort of set apart from the other students?

They'd definitely get along Jessica's always been maternal to younger children in the orphanage and she'd definitely be protective over younger students, especially if they're finding it a bit tough in Hogwarts!

I have this crazy idea of Fionn totally crushing on her XD but, since he's bad at explaining his emotions, she'll just get frustrated silence from him XD makes it worse that they're in the same house XD

will accidentally seeing why he wears gloves all the time, and listening to what happened, convince her? XD it IS, I can't wait! (his grandmother branded his hands when he was in his second year. there's a fair amount of shame in that for him XD) he's also got a pretty gentle side, so at random moments he can just do nice things for her and walk off XD
