Speciality:
Defence Against the Dark Arts is Alliss' speciality but she is very quick and good at many other types of magic and spellwork too, Charms and Transfiguration in particular, as this was required of an Auror. Her favourite and best spells are the Patronus Charm, having much pride for her patronus form and it also comes in handy as an Auror, alongside Fidelius, which is a spell she has always been intrigued by.
Limitations:
Potions is where Alliss seems to lack any drive or motivation, along with Divination which her strict common sense doesn't have much patience for. The only spells she doesn't like are the unforgivable curses, for obvious reasons. Although she has always had a dark desire to consider using Impereo when necessary to save others.

Personality:
Alliss Rivera is an idealist when it comes to matters of the heart, hoping to one day find someone she really and truly loves, someone she will give her whole entity to. Despite being a sucker for romance and love, is very much grounded in the real world when it comes to anything else. Her common sense in most situations is second to none, as long as her emotions don't get the better of her. When teaching, Alliss is understanding and helpful, however she can soon turn not so pleasant and strict if someone disobeys her or refuses to listen. However, she refuses to discriminate between the houses, although some Slytherins when adhering to the stereotypes of their house, irk her.
Appearance:
Alliss has soft feautures and beautiful dark skin, her eyes are a deep brown and her hair is usually kept curly and down, bouncing on her shoulders as she walks around the castle. Her make-up is usually minimal as she doesn't really have any need for it. She is of average height and a slender woman of extreme youth, looking as young as some of the older students.
History:
Alliss Rivera is a pure-blood of Spanish decendence and was brought up originally in Spain. She had an older brother at one point but he left early on and she has little memories of him, she only knows what her parents have told her. That he is an evil and cruel deatheater and to stay away. Her parents still live in Spain and she visits often, loving to spend time around her loved ones and get away from her stressful work.
When she was eleven, she moved to England to study at Hogwarts.
Alliss was the popular girl at School, she was a Gryffindor and basically the person everyone wanted to be friends with and idolised. She went out with jocks. At one point, Alliss dated a Durmstrang who was the only one she actually cared about. However he had to leave after the Triwizard Tournament. After graduating, she went on to complete her ambition of becoming an Auror.
Alliss' previous encounters with Voldemort and Death Eaters, allowed her to fast-track to become an Auror. Her talent led the Minister to become exceedingly interested her and suggested her to Dumbledore for employment as a Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor. She was not happy about this, she much prefers to be out and about doing things, leading her to take a very practical approach when teaching. Nevertheless, the Minister insisted she went to oversee the running of Hogwarts.
For two years, she dated the Charms Professor, Riley Grey but he has recently been reported missing for sixth months and no-one has seen him. She has been left heartbroken and the Durmstrang she once dated and he elder brother, are both this year taking up a teaching position. So her heart is going to be in a mess.
