Esma has been trained heavily in more Muggle weaponry than the usual Wizarding methods of combat, specialising in using a bow and arrow as well as other hunting methods, this being because her mother thought that using magic would make her more prone to capture. As for magic, she is very skilled at Transfiguration, this being a skill that Alyss would find useful for her to use as a disguise in the future. Her skills in Defense Against the Dark Arts are also very well defined
Limitations:
Due to a shortage in supplies and such, Esma did not have the chance to work with Potions and so is not as capable with this subject as others. She also finds it difficult to control her emotions, often exposing them openly as she never had to hide such things in the past. If angered, she would be unable to control her actions.

Personality:
Hardened from years of exile and the loss of both parents, Esma is not the most sociable of people and is unable to handle the idea of many people, therefore can seem very introvert at times. However, she is also extremely passionate and if she forms an attachment it is likely she will fight tooth and nail to defend those she loves. She is still unused to a lot of social norms and so seems very distant, unable to understand certain turns of phrase and jokes. This makes her eager to learn at times though, helping her to open up to people
Appearance:
Esma has inherited her mother's dark hair which she often wears up to keep it out of the way. She has a darker, slightly olive toned tinge to her skin with dark brown eyes. She is very lithe, having cultivated a lithe physique after all of her training. She isn't at all delicate looking, often very scruffy simply because it is easier.
History:
Born in the midst of the take-over of the Wizarding World, Esma has never known what the world was like before the Death Eaters took power. She was brought up in hiding by Alyss, her mother, hidden from the Death Eaters' reign. While growing up, Esma was made aware of what happened to her father; before Esma was born, he was taken by the Death Eaters and is presumably dead. This made her far closer to her mother, the loss emphasising their bond.
Alyss kept Esma trained in ways to fight for herself, knowing that one day they would have to leave hiding for any unknown reason, and wanting her daughter to be prepared. However, not long after Esma turned 15, Alyss was killed by the Death Eaters, destroying Esma. After her mourning, Esma decided that she needed to fight for both her parents, and broke into the Ministry where she knew there was a Time Turner that would be able to take her back to 2012, saving her father from imprisonment and stopping her mother from dying.
Now, in 2012, Esma finds herself being hunted down by three sisters who work for the Ministry, and must save her parents and try to stop the Death Eaters from gaining control of the Wizarding World.
