Fionn brought his fist into the stomach of the cowering form on the ground. He was still dressed up the way Molly had jinxed him, the spells never wore off immediately, especially with the hair. The clothes would be stuck on him for a few more hours before changing back to his normal clothes, so it was better to wait it out. And pounding into an idiot who had decided to sing “dude looks like a lady” loud enough for Fionn to hear was a welcome release of pent-up frustration. He’d been trying to get to the forest when the moron had started.

A few minutes later the kid looked over Fionn’s shoulder with a relieved look on his face and Fionn grimaced. A teacher, wonderful. He shoved the idiot away. “you better get to the hospital wing, I think I might have broken the nose” a menacing step in the kid’s direction dispelled any hesitations and he ran off. Fionn turned around to face the teacher, smoothing his hair back, his face in it’s usual angry, guarded mask. He folded his arms. “what?”

Jayden had decided to take a walk out on the lawns once classes were over, just to take a breather and to admire the gorgeous scenary. Of course, he was annoyed to see a buff female student viciously beating up another student, whose bruises he could see from where he was standing. "Oi! " He yelled out, marching over to the two students.

He watched the other student run off, not bothering to call him back. He'd deal with that later. He opened his mouth to scold the female student, but when she turned around and spoke, Jayden had to bite his cheek to keep from laughing aloud.

'It was a boy! In drag!'

He swallowed down his giggles, and pointed in the direction of the escaping student. "What is your name, young man? And would you care to explain to me why you're beating up other students in drag?" He had to swallow again to stop the giggles.

Fionn's face heated and he glowered at the ground. he knew his face was as red as his hair. "um....long story...abbreviated version: I got in a fight with a friend of mine and she jinxed me into this...outfit and the hair. since it won't wear off for a bit, trust me, I know. this isn't the first time it's happened, I decided to come out and cool off. and then he-" here Fionn jerked his thumb behind him in the direction the other student had gone. "decided to start singing 'dude looks like a lady' and I lost it..." he shrugged. Fionn shifted in the heels and shrugged. "I'm Fionn, sir. Fionn Causer. Jayden rose an eyebrow when the boy started talking in Gaelic, and even had the nerve to call him a pumpkin head! 'I'm not a pumpkin head, I'm a bloody ginger! Does he not hear the accent...?'

Jayden shifted his weight on his right, put his hands on his hips and enunciated each Syllable, "Bhuel, mr. Causer, is cosúil gur chóir duit féachaint ar do bhéal chomh maith le do temper. "no idea whether I swing that way. never really experimented, but are you...?" and if so, the looking up and down and previous actions made sense. "yes I know the skirt is too short. talk to Molly about it" he crossed his arms in annoyance and looked over at two giggling girls, giving them a death glare, casung them to clam up and scuttle off. "really, you look way too young to be a professor, professor" he had a feeling there were going to be rumors.

Jayden pursed his lips, deciding to not respond to Fionn's apathy towards his class. He'd rather not get into a debate over the importance of Transfiguration with a young man who he could already tell was a stubborn as a mule.

At Fionns implication, Jayden chuckled. He held up a hand, and began counting off fingers with each point he made, "Yes, I am gay. No I am not checking you out. One, you're too young, and you're a student. I won't even comtemplate something like that, love. I'm just...baffled by your outfit. Do you want any help? I doubt I could reverse the whole jinx, but I could maybe change the colors."

Then he nodded, agreeing with the younger males last statement."Yes, I am young for a professor; in fact, I'm 23. But, since I'm the best in the field after McGonagall, Dumbledore thought it best to hire me. So here I am."

Fionn raised an eyebrow and grinned, laughing a little. he copied his teacher and held up a finger, counting off his responses. "one, figured. my brother is so...two, thank god. no offense, but I don't think I want a relationship now, especially with a teacher, and it would be a little creepy if....three, talk to Molly, she's the one who decided to move from sundresses to this. four, mm...no, thanks. I mean, you could if you wanted, but I actually like the colors red black and pink" he shrugged.

"well it makes sense. you're going to have boys and girls all over you though. prepared to jinx a stick to beat them off?"

Jayden smirked at Fionn, "If you say so, Causer. Thank you for the compliment, but thankfully, nothing has happened recently to cause me to transfigure a beating stick. 'Cept maybe a few flirty looks, but thats nothing too extreme. " He gave a shrug, not really worried. Recieving flirtatious looks from others was something he was used to, to the point where a flirtatious look was like noticing how blue the sky was. The only suggestive looks he noticed were from attractive people who caught his interest, which were the only ones that mattered.

He looked at Fionn's get-up again, before heaving a great sigh in exasperation. Her took off his waistecoat and transfigured it into a long flowing cloak, which he handed to the younger male, "Here. Even though you liek those colors, I'd rather you not end up beat up someone else because they insulted your outfit. "

Fionn shrugged. "yea...somebodies going to try though. I'm just saying" he raised an eyebrow at the transfigured cloak and sighed. "fine, but I was going to the forest where people rarely go. not really deep, but I need a plant for herbology" Fionn put the cloak on anyway. it was big enough for him, which was unusual and even had a hood, which he pulled over his hair. "red isn't my actual hair color, it's black. blame Molly for it, again" Fionn rolled his eyes. "thank you for the cloak sir. if I give it back to you as a waistcoat again, will it count as my assignment I missed?"

Jayden laughed, Fionns question about the waistecoat amusing him greatly. He nodded at the brunette, deciding to humor his request. "Sure, Causer, why not? That's actually similar to the homework I gave your classmates; they were to write a short essay on the Reverto spell. And you turning my waistecoat back to its original form is just as good." He chuckled again; what a way to kill two birds with one stone.

"I don't like the idea of you going into the forest by yourself, even if you're not going too deep. If you need it for Herbology, I'll help you find it."

"great! but don't be surprised if it's a different color or something, I'm crap at transfiguration" he chuckled, then gulped. "erm, no. I'll be fine. I got in a wrestling match with a centaur once. it was a colt but still. nobody makes fun of my clothes. although it was a draw...anyway! I don't need my teacher coming with me to observe a plant used in very strong love potions, and can even be used itself as a love potion..thing...whatever" he scratched the back of his head and thought. "fine, I won't go into the forest, but what do you propose I do? I kind of wanted that plant for my own reasons too..." it wasn't for Jessica, it was for studies...and his sister wanted it.

Jayden's eyes widened at the mention of love potion, the idea of escorting Fionn into Forest suddenly not a good idea. He read enough love potion stories to know that accidents happened, constantly.

"Erm..." He began, feeling suddenly awkward. "Well. Mr. Causer. How about this. I'll cast a few protection spells on you, ones that will divert any predators, and you go into the forest to get your important plant. That way, I'm not letting you walk into potential harm,and I'm helping to prevent severe consequences for the both of us. How does that sound?"

From an outside P.O.V., Jayden sounded like a terrible teacher. But he kne how it was to be young, and needing to be in a situation that could be dangerous, but necessary. So, as long as Causer didn't get wounded, Jayden was a-ok.

"sounds fine" he couldn't help but smirk slightly at the pasty look of the teacher. "if you could cast those, please. I'll dissapear and you can go on your way and later I'll give you back your jacket. sound good?"

Jayden frowned in annoyance, he didn't like the way Fionn worded himself. As if he were the teacher, and Jayden the student. He decided to not let it bother him; instead he did as he said he would, casting several protection charms and spells on the younger boy.

After he cast the last danger repellant charm, Jayden tucked his wand back into his arm holster. He clapped his hands together, and smiled at Fionn, "Right, all done! Well, Mr. Causer, be extremely careful in the forest; even though you have the charms, something could still happen. And when you return, I'd like you to at least report back to me, and tell me how your excusion went, ok?"

Fionn smiled and bowed slightly. "no problem teach. and don't worry about me. I'll be better than fine" he saluted Jayden and walked toward the forest. this guy was easy to manipulate, but Fionn had a feeling it wouldn't be wise to push his buttons too far.
