Is It Already the End...? (Tag Ambrose)

Something was going to happen. She could feel it in her gut.

Hanako walked out of the hut, a deep frown on her face, and her arms crossed behind her back. Looking up into the sky, she saw a bright, shining, and cloudless day. But not one bird chirping. Something was wrong. She wasn't sure what it was exactly, but it was important.

She took several determined steps to the middle of the land, and raised her foot, stomping down to feel the earth. Nothing. But her instinct told her something was wrong. She had to find out what.

Hanako heard Maguire approach before he even said anything. Though his steps were soft, she could still hear him through the earth, just as her mother taught her to do. She could also sense the ill intent coming off of him in waves. Maybe that was the horrible feeling she felt in the pit of her stomach.

'Mother...'

She turned and faced the young student, her steely gaze staring into his own evil one. Something wasn't right with the boy. She knew him, he was in her house, and he always had a grin on his face But not now....

He must be under the Imperius curse.

She knew who put him under it, and from the way that he was looking at her, she could tell what his mission was.

She inhaled and exhaled slowly, before coming down into an Earthbending stance and grounding herself. She glared at Maguire. "Well, come on, boy. Show me what you got."
