Specialty:
Care of Magical Creatures. She’s a mermaid, she already feels close to the creatures and bonds with them easily. Although she is terrified of the more aggressive merpeople who live in the Hogwarts waters.
Divination. She is very interested in the subject, so its one of the few classes which she pays attention.

Limitations:
Potions. With her carefree attitude she tends to add a bit more of this and that than she’s suppose to.
Arithmancy. She’s just not strong with numbers, and the subject in general gives her a headache

Her charm that’s in the shape of a blue rain drop she wears around her neck to keep her from growing her fin back

Personality:
Bubbly and kind of a goof ball, Asyra seems to always be a good mood and is really optimistic about most situations. She has no real regard for warnings, like not going outside the castle at night and doesn't see a threat with most things believing that there's nothing out there that will want to harm her because she hasn't harmed them. She loves shiny things, and tends to either stare at them for long periods of time in silence, marveling them or attempts to snatch them and hide them in her room if they're just laying around without being watched. {WATCH OUT FOR YOUR STUFF! xDD} And big surprise, she loves the water.

Appearance:
Asyra stands about 5’5” with legs and is around 5’9” with her tail, which is a pearly white color. She has sun kissed skin from living in the Caribbean all her life. Her blonde hair is straight and stops shortly below her shoulders. She also has very pale but blue eyes. She is sometimes seen with either dried starfish in her hair or tied up with seaweed.

History:
Asyra’s mother is a mermaid who fell in love with a wizard, and refuses to tell her daughter about him, even if he’s alive or dead. Growing up she was always curious about him but learned to stop asking her mother about it, since she would change the story every time. Due to her odd bloodline she was still able to attend Hogwarts and was excited for the experience. Her mother was another story, she hates that her daughter has decided to go and continues to go to the school and feels that Asyra doesn’t take pride in her race when she walks around on legs.

In order to attend the school, Asyra had purchased a potion that gave her the ability to change her fin for legs and it worked flawlessly through her first year. However the potion wore off and in a panic, she bought a charm that was supposed to do the same. The charm instead only grants her temporary legs and she has to spend a bit of time in the water each day to keep it working, if she doesn’t, her legs will start growing scales and will slowly, and painfully change back into a fin. But it gets the job done and doesn’t bother too much!
*Asyra’s charm allows her fin to return in water but once the air touches it for a certain amount of time it separates into legs
