Juliette was able to get away from the Shrieking Shack. She was stuck there all night.. Something she really didn't like right now. And she was sure she looked like complete crap.

Her pretty blonde haired now seemed tangled and darker, the bruise on her neck was now fully there, and her busted lip still had blood on it. Though the snake bite was the only thing not hurting. It helped that it gotten taken care of when she was in the Hospital Wing after getting crucio'd.

God her ego felt so bruised. And her facial expression showed it. There were tear stains on her cheeks, due to she was crying when she got away from Serenity and Luciana.. And was able to let all the hurt out. She couldn't believe the two people she trusted the most, her very first friends were imperio'd.. She also couldn't believe how they looked at her.. there was no life in their eyes..

Juliette closed her eyes as she stopped in front of the History of Magic classroom. She was remembering what Ambrose did, and it made her twitch when she could feel him biting her neck and lip once again. She hated how it felt.. she wished that he wasn't under such a spell to make him do that. God.. why did the first person she ever met, and the person she... liked.. do this to her? Juliette was so incredibly pissed at him, but also felt so very hurt by him.. Was that curse so incredibly strong he wasn't able to see or know what he was doing?

Though it didn't help how she saw Luciana look at Ambrose.. Like something was up with them.. and how she said they weren't friends anymore. What kind of friends were they? Were they friends, friends... or friends with benefits? And as she thought of this her eyes opened as she felt the tears fall down her cheeks. What if they were?

God how she hated feeling like this. She hated it so fucking much! And she hated how much of a player he was! She hated how he fucking treated her yesterday! She hated how he had kissed her and thought that was what she wanted! Why was he so fucking clueless to almost every fucking thing?! And why was she letting him get to her? Why!? She didn't need anyone! She only needed her life and the Vipers, that's all she needed!

"God damn you, Ambrose." She whispered.

After keeping his promise to Kristopher for saving his life, Jasper had hoped to find his way back to his room and collapse onto his bed and forget everything that happened. He didn't remember this being a common thing when he was in school, and he still questioned everything, his desire for knowledge only made it worse, why? Why? Why was he part of Laura Bell's task, it made no sense, he was a loyal Death Eater, he kept telling himself it was only a test, it just a test, and he had survived and that meant he had passed with flying colors and would be seen as a champion to the Dark Lord's eyes. If he couldn't impress Gregory Alexander, then by God he would impress Voldemort.

He help a slight limp at the moment, his arm, thigh and leg still bandaged and he was warned to be easy on his leg a few more days to make sure he wouldn't ruin it. The professor walked down the hallways that he knew so well, rushing to get to his bed, rushing to get out of the way of the public eye so that he wouldn't be disturbed. Jasper ran his fingers through his black locks, it was so greasy, and there was still leaves and grasses from the night previous. He felt disgusting, the dirt that seemed to cling desperately to the dried blood under his clothes, he needed a good scrubbing, until his skin was red and burning, he felt like even his blood was dirtied, it was horrible.

Once finally getting to his office he narrowed his eyes at the student that stood in front of his room. She seemed in a daze and in deep thought, so it was clear she had just happened to stop there, not that she was there to see him. Which was fine, he had enough visitors. As he walked closer though, he couldn't help but notice the sorry shape that the girl was in also. . . so she was one of the victims as well. For a moment there was a bit of guilt in his stomach, making it drop like it weighed a ton and a half. He sighed, trying to recall the student's name. . . Jamie, Jacklyn? No, no, it was something memorable, he remembered that, he name fit her perfectly, as tragic as she was . . . oh, yes, Juliette.

She still seemed in her daze when he approached the door, shaken up and confused by it. He cleared his throat to gather her wits and gain her attention.

"Juliette?"

He asked, giving her a minute to come back fully and react. Jasper opened the door and let himself in, holding it open for her and making a hand gesture to silently urge her to enter.

Juliette jumped when she suddenly heard the Professor say her name. Her emotional facial expression hardening a little as she looked at him.

She watched him walk towards the door of his classroom, keeping it open for her. Which made her feel suspicious. She didn't trust anyone right now. After everything she was going through, she couldn't trust anyone.. Anyone could still be under the curse, and anyone was threat to her right now.

And as she kept staring at him she kept shaking her head. She couldn't trust him and her facial expression showed that. Though she was still a pretty sore sight to see.

Jasper paused at the look that she gave him and nearly rolled his eyes, biting back the action with all of his being to keep it from happening. Geeze, the one time he decided to try to be nice about something. He sighed heavily, exhaustively.

"Look, Juliette, if I had wanted to harm you, I would have already, clearly you've seen the darkness that some people possess by the look of your face tonight, I can assure you I mean you no harm."

He peeled his cloak back to reveal the bandaged areas of his legs and shoulder.

"You could very well escape me anyway."

For once, just this once, Jasper revealed weakness, it was his fault she was like this, and clearly the stupid male blonde's sacrifice had ruined him, he couldn't help but think of how he could help her. He hoped this wouldn't last long, even if it meant keeping away from Kristopher until he could fix himself back to normal. Jasper shook his head, scoffing quietly.

"There are vampires around here, get in here so you won't be jumped by one of them."

Juliette looked at him as he started to speak and stated he would've already harmed her if he wanted to. She only nodded to him when he stated about seeing such darkness. And she could feel that he didn't mean harm.. Cause she could see he was capable of hurting her if he wanted to.

Though when he showed her his bandages, she wanted to seem surprised but held back the expression. But, she was wondering who attacked him now.. But he knew how he felt.

She looked around when he suddenly spoke of vampires.

"I'm not afraid of vampires.." She stated, before she sighed. "But.. I'll just come in.. don't feel like getting attacked again." She stated as she walked into his classroom and sat down on one of the desks.

Jasper shook his head, she'd be afraid of the vampires when they stalked her into a corner than drained her dry, the thought made him cringe as he moved aside to let her in and shut the door behind him. He walked past her and back to the backroom that served as his bedroom. In there he returned with a small handwashing bowl and a rag.

"Surely a girl your age carries around a mirror?"

He scoffed quietly before leaning against his desk and staring over at her. His mind began to wander, what had put her in this condition, well, who, for that matter. He bit the inside of his cheek.

"So . . . lovely night, eh?"

He asked with a heavily sarcastic overtone, referring to their wounds.

Juliette watched him walk to a different part of the room, before just looking at one of the pictures. She sighed as she just ran her hand through her hair. She was really tired and just wanted to go to bed. But she knew that wasn't going to happen since the Professor wanted to help her. Something that aggravated her.

She watched him walk out with a bowl and a rag, which made her roll her eyes. Though she looked at him when he mentioned about girls her age and a mirror.

"I don't care about what I look like right now. I'm not like all those other girls obsessing over how they look." She stated with a rude tone, before looking down at the rag and bowl. "And.. I don't need your help." She said as she made it obvious she was talking about the objects.

"So . . . lovely night, eh?"

"Oh yes.. lovely if you count me getting crucio'd two times, getting bit by a cobra, getting kidnapped and bit on my lip and on my neck, then left in the shrieking shack for a whole day.. Yeah.. it's quite lovely." She said with a very rude, sarcastic tone.

Jasper remained against his desk, rolling his eyes at her as she preached that she wasn't like every other female that ever existed, ever. She was just fighting to fight, he told himself, seeing as the young girl was already like a wounded and cornered creature.

"Well I'd at least work on that lip of your's unless you'd prefer it be infecting and be forced to drink a disgusting concoction to keep it from falling off."

He said as he attempted to cross his arms, once feeling his shoulder tug he grunted and dropped his arms to his sides and gripped the edge of his desk. Jasper then remained silent as she talked about her "lovely" night. She had a pretty rough one, he couldn't remember such a night in his own life, even with being a Death Eater, but she seemed pretty strong about it . . . for not at least. He could remember the lost and confused look in her eyes as she drifted in thought outside his classroom and he was sure she would be just right for the picking on the subject within a couple of days once she got to sit and stew in her thoughts. Delicious, perfect manipulation.

"It could have always been worse Juliette. I'm assuming the nurses dealt with the majority of your wounds?"

Juliette glared at the Professor when he spoke about her lip again.

"If it gets you to shut up about my wounds, then fine.. I'll take care of it!" She stated as she put a little bit of the towel in the water, before placing it on her lip.

And as she did this, her eyes weren't looking at the Professor due to she was annoyed with him. But at the same time she was annoyed at the whole situation.. All she wanted was to go to sleep and never wake up until the next morning, and just be alone. That's all she wanted right now. To be alone. Though it would be hard due to her friendship with the other Vipers. But she knew she could make it.

She looked at him when he asked his question.

"I took care of them." She stated.

Jasper shrugged, if it would get her to lock down and do as he said then he wouldn't speak of it again, except maybe to irritate her a bit more, it was actually more entertaining that he wanted to admit. She was like a dry brush in the middle of a wildfire, sparked quickly, and burned viciously threatening to take out all she could before being put out. Once she actually listened and placed the towel upon her lip he smirked, a small step for his ego and the poisons in his mind. When she mentioned that she was the one who had taken care of her wounds he couldn't help but think that she was probably better off. He didn't believe in the nurses here at Hogwarts, and he personally never sought after their help.

"Ah. I see. Well, you seem like you're more than capable of handling yourself Juliette. The nurses here are just a cluster of hens anyway."

"They are bloody annoying!" She replied in full honesty and bluntness. "Though lucky for me, I was able to take care of my wounds myself. Think I would've jinxed those hobbits if they had touched me." She growled as her eyes narrowed.

Though she then stopped speaking as she started to clean her lip once again. God how she hated that she was in this room, talking about what happened to her. All she wanted to do was: Sleep. That's all, that's all she wanted! She wanted to forget this day, forget everything that happened.

Jasper chuckled at the girl's reaction to the nurses, finding it humorous that he wasn't the only one who seemed to despise them. Well this was certainly a start, he usually didn't prefer to start the manipulation process this way, being nice to the students was A LOT of work, especially when the students were spitfires like this little one. His head shook away his laughter as he rested against his desk once more silently as she cleaned her lip, his arms folded over his chest nonchalantly, more carefully this time around. He could tell she was ready to leave and go back to the dorms, probably to bed with the childish thought that in the morning everything would be fine once again. It wouldn't. But he wouldn't kill the last bit of innocence that the poor girl clung to.

"You're . . . very brave Juliette, this . . . is so unfortunate."

He said slowly, he managed to even convince himself that he meant the words he spoke. His lies were laced with a beautiful imitation of compassion and respect, like he actually cared what happened to the blonde. He watched her clean her lip before pushing himself hesitantly up from the desk, flinching with a sharp hiss as he was forced to put weight back on his leg.

"Would you require an escort to the Slytherin dungeon?"
