Speciality:
Mickey is naturally smart and so excels in most subjects; his personal bests are Potions, Transfiguration and History of Magic. He always ensures he works hard during class to keep his parents and Uncle Niklaus off his back.

Limitations:
Mickey isn’t interested in Muggle Studies and sees Herbology as a waste of time. He also sees divination as a bit of a joke subject and so tends not to pay much attention in that class.

Personality:
Although Mickey works hard in class, he’s a bit of a wild child outside the classroom and loves socialising, chatting up girls and drinking. His uncle, the Minister of Magic has to remind him to keep his behaviour in check, and so Mickey ensures he knuckles down in class, to keep his uncle’s watchful gaze at bay. The truth is he secretly enjoys learning to some extent, but he would never let anybody know that. He has an extremely witty personality and his late night antics often leave him rushing to class the next morning, hung over and making up eccentric excuses for his lateness. Mickey doesn’t succumb to house prejudice and stereotypes, meaning he is extremely comfortable socialising and dating those in other houses.

Appearance:
Mickey is slender, with bright blue eyes and a shock of black hair. There is often a cheeky expression etched onto his face.

History:
After the Minister for Magic’s daughter was taken away, the Minister became close to his eldest brother’s family. Having lost a child the Minister took a particular interest in Mickey and as a result, he always keeps a distant eye on him at Hogwarts.
Mickey’s parents are very expecting of their only child and wish for him to achieve great things in the future. His father was a Slytherin and his mother a Ravenclaw: there was a huge pressure from his family not to be placed into Gryffindor or Hufflepuff. One would think growing up in a wealthy pureblood family, would influence his views, however Mickey is determined not to end up like his parents, who can be malicious and prejudiced. Although Mickey works hard to keep his parents and uncle satisfied, like most teenagers he doesn’t give much thought to his future, and is happy being a reckless seventeen year old.
